Twitter Video Downloader

Download Twitter (X) videos and GIFs in MP4 format.

What is Twitter Video Downloader?

Twitter (X) allows users to share engaging videos and GIFs, but does not provide a native option to download them for offline viewing. Our Twitter Video Downloader bridges this gap. By simply pasting a tweet's URL, our tool extracts the media file directly from Twitter's servers, allowing you to save it as a high-quality MP4 file on your local device.

Supported Features

Whether it's a breaking news clip, a funny meme, or an animated GIF, we support all major public Twitter media formats.

Options Format Notes

Cross-Platform Access

Our tool is designed to work seamlessly across all devices. Download Twitter videos on your iPhone via Safari, on your Android device via Chrome, or on any desktop browser without installing additional software.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I download a GIF from Twitter?
Yes! Twitter automatically converts uploaded GIFs into silent looping videos. When you download a GIF using VidsSave, it will save as a standard MP4 file.
Why is my Twitter link not working?
The tweet might be from a protected (private) account, deleted, or age-restricted. Ensure you are copying the link to a public tweet that contains a video.
How do I get the link if a tweet quotes a video?
If the video belongs to a quoted tweet, you must click on the original tweet that uploaded the media and copy that specific link, not the quote tweet link.
Do I need to install an app or extension?
No, VidsSave works entirely in your web browser. There is no need to install any third-party apps, browser extensions, or iOS Shortcuts.
Can I download from a protected (private) account?
No. Our tool cannot access media hidden behind a protected account's privacy wall. It only works with publicly accessible tweets.
What formats and quality options are available?
Output formats depend on the source platform. Most videos are delivered as MP4 files. Quality options (such as HD or SD) are shown when available — the tool retrieves whatever resolutions the platform provides. Audio from SoundCloud is delivered as MP3. Photos from Instagram and Pinterest are saved as JPG.
Do I need to create an account or log in?
No. VidsSave does not require registration or login. You do not need to enter your social media credentials. The tool only needs the public URL of the post you want to download.
Can I download private or protected content?
VidsSave can only access content that is publicly available. Videos from private accounts, password-protected posts, or DRM-encrypted streams (such as Netflix or Disney+) cannot be downloaded. If a creator has set their content to private, the tool will not be able to retrieve it.
Does VidsSave store downloaded files or personal data?
No. VidsSave does not store downloaded files on its servers. The tool fetches media from the original platform and delivers it directly to your browser. We do not track your download history, and we do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary for the site to function.
