Is it safe to use this YouTube downloader?

Yes. VidsSave is a web-based service. We do not ask you to download any executable files (.exe) or install suspicious browser extensions. The file you download is the direct media file (MP4 or MP3) from the video server. We do run ads to maintain the site, but we strive to keep them non-intrusive.

Can I download YouTube Shorts?

Yes! YouTube Shorts use the same underlying video player as regular YouTube videos. Just copy the link to the Short, paste it into our tool, and you can download it as an MP4.

Why do some 4K or 1080p videos say 'No Audio'?

For high-resolution videos (1080p and above), YouTube often streams the video and audio tracks separately to save bandwidth (a system called DASH). If you download a DASH video file, it will not have sound. To get both, you either need to download a standard 720p combined MP4, or use desktop software that merges the tracks.

Is it legal to download videos from YouTube?

Downloading videos for personal, offline use is generally a legal gray area, though it is against YouTube's Terms of Service. Downloading copyrighted material to re-upload, distribute, or make money from is illegal. Always respect copyright laws and the creator's rights.

Currently, VidsSave only supports downloading individual videos or Shorts one at a time. To download an entire playlist, you would need to copy and paste the link for each video individually.
